The pandemic has put an extreme financial strain on the Bonne County 4-H Fairgrounds. The 4-H Fairgrounds is run by Boone County 4-H Club Inc., who not only oversees the 4-H Fairgrounds, but the educational 4-H program.  In a normal year the 4-H Fairgrounds has facilities rented almost every weekend of the year. That income keeps the lights on, pays for the general upkeep of the grounds and allow 4-H and other youth non-profits to use the Fairgrounds for free. When the pandemic hit and social events could not occur for several months the bills still came in while the income from rentals did not. The 4-H Garage Sale is one fundraising effort that the 4-H Council is doing to raise money to offset the rental income that the group did not receive in 2020. Donations to the garage sale be can brought to the 4-H Fairgrounds on the following days:  Wednesday, November 11: 4:00pm – 7:00pm.

The garage sale itself will run:

Thursday & Friday, November 12 – 13: 9:00am – 4:00pm

Saturday, November 14: 9:00am – 2:00pm

The sale is located in the Farm Bureau Inc. Community Building on the 4-H Fairgrounds in Lebanon. Most items will not be priced and customers can purchase items by giving a free will donation to Boone County 4-H. Some higher end items will have price tags on them. Customers will need to wear face coverings while shopping and can bring their own shopping bags or we will have bags available.
