After seven years of planning and fundraising for a 9/11 memorial, Lebanon Fire Department Chief Chuck Batts achieved the 9/11 committee’s fundraising goal with a $25,100 allocation from the Lebanon City Council. The money came out of the city’s Food and Beverage Fund.
With this allocation, adequate funds are finally available to create a 9/11 memorial at LFD Station 11, 975 Lasley Dr., where the public can see, touch, and remember all victims of the Sept. 11 terror attack. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
