Benito Martinez, Jr. 74 of Lebanon, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2023, at his residence. He was born February 29, 1948, in Edcouch, Texas, the son of the late Benito and Maria Martinez.
Benito married Patricia Sue (Runyon) Martinez on December 16, 1968, in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
He graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School in 1967. After High School he joined the United States Air Force and served our country for 12 years. He worked at the Naval Warfare Center in Indianapolis, Indiana as a Junior Engineer where he later retired.
Benito loved spending time with his family, his little dog Lucy, he thoroughly enjoyed building computers and tinkering with RC planes.
Survivors include wife, Patricia “Sue” Martinez; children, Marty (Sharon) Martinez of Lebanon and Benny (fiancée Amber) of Colfax; granddaughter, Sophie Martinez; brothers, Fidel Martinez and Juan Martinez; sisters, Rosie Elizondo, Becky Martinez, and Rachel Esparza.
In addition to his parents, Benito was preceded in death by his brothers Paul Martinez, Noe, Martinez and Daniel Martinez.
Due to Benito’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his arrangements for cremation.
