Benny Max Campbell, 87, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Sunday, August 4, 2019. He was born on February 23, 1932 in Lebanon, a son of the late Ralph and Mabel (Breedlove) Campbell.

He was a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School. Following school, he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

On November 25, 1956, he was married to Madonna Ruth (Quellhorst) Campbell at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Lebanon; she survives and they had shared 62 wonderful years together.

Benny worked as a mail carrier for the Lebanon Post Office for more than 30 years before retiring in 1988. In addition, he delivered the Lebanon Reporter and Indianapolis Star for many years. He would buy bags of candy and share with all the children he would see along his route. During retirement, Benny served as a custodian and caretaker at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.

He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW and the American Legion all of Lebanon.
