The Boone County Council learned that despite the COVID pandemic, revenues appear steady. However, a significant increase in health insurance premiums could change the picture for the 2022 budget. Financial consultant Paige Sansone presented a financial update in anticipation of the upcoming budget sessions for next year. Durring the meeting Sansone learned the projected health insurance premiums for county employees are projected to increase by $1.2 million according to a recent meeting with the county’s consultants on medical insurance.
