Starting Nov. 1, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office will raise money for the Boone County Cancer Society with a “No-Shave November” campaign. This marks the seventh year for the campaign. To participate, sheriff’s department employees who donate a minimum of $60 to the fund will be allowed to grow facial hair during the month of November. For those wishing to extend the challenge, employees will be able to do so by donating $100 for the month of December. Such grooming standards are strictly regulated by department policy but will be somewhat relaxed in support of the program. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
