Brayden Dean Brandt, 23, of Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, in an automobile accident.

Brayden was born Apr. 13, 1999, in Indianapolis, a son of Andrea R. (Ashworth) Brandt and the late Brian Brandt.

Brayden attended Lebanon High School with the class of 2018 and had worked in construction for Arbor Homes for 18 months. Brayden loved fishing and hunting for deer, especially with his father and sister, along with rodeo. He was proud to have been turning his life around and getting things together.

Brayden was a fun-loving, free-spirited soul who lived life by his own rules. He was the kind of guy you could have a drink with and laugh until the morning came. While many knew him as a loud mouth, beer drinking, country boy, those who knew him best, understood that Brayden could love harder than life, a trait inherited from his father, who he now happily embraces in Heaven. Brayden loved his family with every ounce of his soul. He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his mother, Andrea Brandt (Kevin McClaren) of Lebanon; sisters, Alexis (Triston) Fischer of Greenwood and Gracie Brandt of Lebanon; paternal grandmother, Terena James of Lebanon; paternal grandfather, Dean (Bonnie) Brandt of Indianapolis; maternal grandfather, Harry Ashworth of Lebanon; and girlfriend, Emma Glotzbach of Illinois.

Brayden was preceded in death by his father, Brian Brandt and maternal grandmother, Victoria Ashworth.

Family and friends will gather Sunday, Aug. 7, for visitation from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. A funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Craig Carrell officiating in the funeral home. Brayden will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
