Dr. Jonathon Cavins, 41, has a jury trial set for Dec. 9, according to court documents. A pretrial conference was held Monday. According to an order in Boone Circuit Court, “Parties are continuing discussions in the matter and request the matter remain set for trail as scheduled.” Cavins, a pediatrician, is facing six felony charges including child molesting, level 4 felonies; two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, level 5 felonies; vicarious sexual gratification, a level 5 felony; and two counts of child seduction, level 6 felonies.
