Radio Mom received this release from the Purdue Extension office. After careful consideration and reviewing feedback from multiple stakeholders in the 4-H program, the Boone County 4-H Fair Board has made the decision to move forward with plans to host an in-person 4-H Fair for 2020. The Fair this year will focus only on allowing our youth to demonstrate what they have learned during the 4-H year. Non-4-H events will not occur in hopes that only 4-Hers, their families, staff and volunteers will be in attendance. There will be many changes to the look of the fair to ensure a safe experience for our youth, but we know by the outpouring from our 4-H community that we can rise to the occasion with everyone’s help. We are currently working through the logistics for implementation of an in-person fair and a virtual option for 4-H members who are unable or choose not to participate in the live event. Radio Mom will continue to share information about this years fair as it becomes available.
