Clifford W. “Jack” Belcher, 91, of Lebanon, passed into Eternal Life Monday, Feb. 20, 2023.

He was born July 18, 1931, in Boone County, son of the late Mortie Lucille (Mitchell) Belcher and Edgar Raymond Belcher. He was married to Ann Marie Henthorne on Sept. 1, 1962, in Indianapolis.

Jack served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1951 to 1952. He also served on the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department in Boone County. Jack was the Perry Township Trustee for 12 years and was instrumental in restoring the Howard One Room School #1. He worked for Smith’s Super Service in Fayette and was also a union glazier of commercial glass with Capital Glass and Circle City Glass in Indianapolis. Jack enjoyed farming the land at home for many years, along with gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ann M. Belcher; daughter, Alysea K. Belcher; sons, Tracy W. (Laura Martin) Belcher and Darrin L. (Florence) Belcher; granddaughters, Payton Belcher and Sofia Belcher; grandsons, Conner Belcher, Landon Belcher, and Antonio Belcher; and brother, Neddy J. (Carol) Belcher.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brothers, Emory Owen Belcher, Morton Eugene “Bud” Belcher, Richard “Dick” Belcher, and Horace Ray Belcher; and sisters, Phyllis Doty and Patricia “Pat” Jenkins.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Feb. 25, for visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the Military Rites at 6 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Howard School Restoration Group, Inc., 1905 E. 700 S., Lebanon, IN 46052, the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department, Boone County, IN, or the American Cancer Society.
