The Boone County Council passed a $44.6 million budget for 2021 at the monthly meeting on Tuesday. It reflects $1.2 million in cuts to expenditures. Boone County residents will actually see a slight decrease in county taxes because of growth. In fact, Boone County has the lowest tax rate in Indiana, ranking lowest out of 92 counties.
