On August 28, 1982, he was married to Peggy A. Guntle.
Raised in Boone County, Danny attended Western Boone schools. He worked for L & M Construction for several years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, and mushroom hunting. Danny was baptized at the Baptist Church in Thorntown and was a current member of Lebanon First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include three children, Tina Tate and companion, Will Hammonds of Kentucky, Daniel “Danny” Fairfield, Jr. and wife, Kylie of Lebanon, and Nicole Fairfield and companion, Robert Masters of Lebanon; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and three sisters, Jeannette Cook and husband Eric Jodie Fairfield and Charlotte Wethington, all of Lebanon.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gracie Marie Fairfield; and a great grandson, Coleson Lee Roby.
Funeral Services are planned for 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with his cremation arrangements following services. Burial of Ashes will take place at a later date at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
