Dawn M. Filiccia, 51, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at Eskenazi Hospital. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana on March 24, 1969, a daughter of Patty L. (Montgomery) McGinnis and the late Dorian Kent McGinnis.
She was first married to Brian W. Collier in Lebanon; he preceded her in death. She then married James J. Filiccia and they later divorced.
Raised in Lebanon, Dawn was a graduate of Lebanon High School. Following high school, she attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for several years.
She was a talented artist and enjoyed volunteering at her children’s school doing arts and crafts. She loved the outdoors, sitting and watching the birds and squirrels, and flower gardening. However, what brought her the most enjoyment in her life were her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Patty McGinnis; five children, Amber (Shane) Goulet, Morgan Filiccia, Logan Filiccia, Shelton Filiccia, and Kendall Cooper; four grandchildren, Isaak Carson, Brayden Belttari, Weston Belttari, and Isla Goulet; brother, Duncan “Kip” (Mindy) McGinnis; sister, Cassie McGinnis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home in Lebanon.
Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements following services.
