Donald D. Starcher, Jr., 59, of Crawfordsville, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Donnie was born November 9, 1964, in Lebanon, a son of Donald Starcher and the late Leah Delores “Susie” (Lowe) Starcher. He married Paula Carr on June 21, 2019, and she survives.
Donnie graduated from Western Boone High School with the class of 1983. He had worked as a truck driver for Summitt Trucking. Donnie enjoyed entertaining and cooking for his friends. He loved making people happy, along with spending time with his family and friends. Donnie also enjoyed spending time on the pontoon boat on the lake.
Survivors include his father, Donald Starcher; wife, Paula Starcher; children, Jade (Robin) Pastore, Jason (Ashley) Pastore, and Justin (Jill) Pastore; step-children, Zachary (Sam) Baringer, April Severe, and Hannah (Sean) Severe; brother, Bob (Staci) Starcher; sister, Diana (Larry) Nash; mother-in-law, Brenda (John) Sorrells; brother-in-law, Paul Carr; grandchildren, Mason, Tucker, Keeli, Kallie, Kloee, Ethan, Evan, Elijah, and Elliott; step-grandchildren, Cabela, Taylor, Hazelee, Jasper, Alister, and Grayden and Keilan Mwiinga; nieces and nephews, Jason (Danielle) Starcher, Schyler Rizzo, Brianna Douglas, Scott Mitchell, Amanda (Greg) Mitchell, Matt Mitchell, Ashley (Shaun) Thompson, and Nicole (Robert) Nash; and great nieces and nephews, Aaliyah, Martina, Darryl, Nashlynn, Kyler, Mason, Tucker, Sawyer, Kora, and Colson.
Donnie was preceded in death by his mother, Susie Starcher and his brother, Michael Starcher.
Family and friends will gather Friday, August 23, for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Dover Christian Church, 955 N State Road 75, Lebanon, IN 46052.
