The Frankfort Police Department, along with WeCare Recovery Home and the United Way for Clinton County, unite for a fundraising effort. The portion that goes to FPD will go towards the K9 Program in order for K9 Athena, handled by Lt. Salaba, to retire when she is ready and for Lt. Salaba to get a new K9 partner. The portion that goes to We Care Recovery will go to assist them in the fight against addiction. The portion that goes to the United Way will go to their continued mission of benefiting Clinton County.Chief Shoemaker reluctantly has agreed that if the $20,000 goal is met by Halloween, that he will jump out of a plane in a tandem skydive.
