Lebanon’s Fourth of July parade will take a detour this year.
Because organizers cannot be certain that construction on North East Street between Fordice Street and Ulen Drive will be finished by July Fourth, the festival’s executive committee on Thursday opted to change the parade route, said committee member Carol Cunningham.
“We can’t wait to the last minute,” Cunningham said. “We’re going to change the parade route for this year only.”
The parade will now turn east from North East Street onto Fordice Street, then left onto Park Drive and South Outer Drive to reach the Lebanon High School parking lots, Cunningham said. More information on this story is available in the Lebanon Reporter.
