Mrs. Emma Jean Horlacher, 92, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on January 27, 1929 in Lebanon, Indiana, a daughter of the late Zarah Oral and Nellie E. (Mayfield) Meenach.

Emma attended Lebanon High School. On October 27, 1949, she was married to Lloyd C. Horlacher, in Morgantown, Kentucky; he passed away on May 29, 2017.

She was a dedicated member of the Shannondale Presbyterian Church and the Dover Double Dozen Home Economics Club. Emma enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was a very caring and kind lady who loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include three children: Mark (Diane) Horlacher of Thorntown, Michelle Horlacher of Lebanon, Ray (Norma) Horlacher of Thorntown; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jo Lynn Horlacher of Thorntown; sister-in-law, Jeannie Meenach of Lebanon and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by a son, Mike Horlacher; one brother, Wendell Meenach and sisters, Noelene Board and Valera Fine.

Visitation is planned for 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The family would appreciate all visitors to wear a mask.

Interment will follow services at Shannondale Cemetery in Shannondale.
