Gavin Mitchell Bishop, 22, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, in Marion County, Indiana. He was born on February 9, 2000, in Indianapolis, a son of Jerry Mitchell Bishop and the late Jill Ann Overman.
Gavin attended Lebanon High School. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He had a passion for sports and enjoyed playing basketball and little league football.
Survivors include his father, Jerry “Mitch” Bishop; paternal grandparents, Jerry Bishop and Sheila Downs; maternal grandmother, Karen Overman; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gavin joins his mother, Jill Overman; sister, Grace Bishop; and grandfather, John Overman in heaven.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Life’s Journey Church, 522 Powell Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Myers Mortuary in Lebanon has been entrusted with his care.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
