Gov. Eric Holcomb on Thursday ordered that all Indiana schools will remain closed through the academic year to slow the spread of COVID-19. Boone County’s three public school systems – Lebanon, Western Boone and Zionsville – already have children taking lessons and submitting assignments via the internet since the corporations voluntarily closed for two weeks March 13. Currently,  school buildings are locked and teachers are delivering lessons from home, but school systems will schedule time for teachers and students to enter buildings and retrieve their belongings and make the schedule known on their websites and via newsletters, emails and texts.
