Lebanon, Ind – The Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) will host its first virtual job fair Wednesday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m.
Job seekers will have the opportunity to connect with quality employers in logistics and manufacturing from their computer screen. Boone County currently has more than 550 full-time positions available in various industries. The upcoming virtual job fair is the first of what the Boone EDC hopes will be many as employers look to ramp up their workforce, and meet economic challenges created by COVID-19.
“During this time, we have an increased number of unemployment throughout the state. While Boone County hasn’t been immune to this, we know there are many looking for quality paying jobs and likewise, we have employers looking to hire,” said Molly Whitehead, Boone EDC Executive Director. “The virtual job fair is an opportunity for both job seekers and employers to renew our local workforce.”
The virtual job fair will take place via Zoom webinar. Job seekers interested in attending can register at betterinboone.org/jobfairjobseekers.
