Investigators with Boone County’s FACT team are investigating a fatal auto accident on Ind. 74 near the Montgomery County Line. The Tuesday morning accident caused the interstate to be shut down in all directions for three hours.
Sgt. Chris Burcham of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened at about 8 a.m. when an eastbound, red Ford Ranger crossed the median into oncoming traffic and was struck by a red F-350 truck equipped with a snow plow, headed westbound in the right lane.
