(Indianapolis, IN)  –  The Indiana Department of Health is loosening COVID-19 guidance for K through 12 schools and child care programs.  Starting Wednesday, schools will no longer be required to do contact tracing or report positive COVID-19 cases to the health department.  Students will not have to quarantine after being exposed to a positive case regardless of vaccination status or if the students were wearing masks.  The Department of Health says anyone who tests positive for the virus should isolate for five days and can return to normal life on day six if they haven’t had a fever for 24 hours without use of medication.  They should then wear a mask through day ten.
