(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts were back on the practice field yesterday in preparation for their third preseason tilt.  Offensive lineman Jack Mewhort and safety Malik Hooker were back on the field as full participants.  Indianapolis is coming off last Saturday’s 24-19 road loss to the Cowboys.  The Colts take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh this coming Saturday.

>>Pacers Sign Former Wildcat Poythress

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Pacers are adding a familiar face to the front court.  Indy announced it signed Alex Poythress to a two-way contract yesterday.  Poythress, a former Kentucky forward, averaged 18.5 points and 7.1 rebounds in 46 games with the Pacers G-League affiliate in Fort Wayne.  He also played six games with the Philadelphia 76ers where he averaged 10.7 points and 4.8 rebounds.

>>Bats Clip Indians

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  Louisville’s Zach Vincej doubled home the game-winning run in the top of the ninth as the Bats clipped the Indians 4-3 at Victory Field.  Eric Wood’s run-scoring double in the eighth tied the contest for Indy.  Dan Runzler surrendered the game-winning hit to take the loss.  The series continues tonight.

>>Fever Face Liberty

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Indiana Fever host the New York Liberty tonight.  The Fever suffered an 87-82 loss to the Washington Mystics their last time out on Sunday.  Indiana has dropped four straight to enter the week 9-and-21 on the season.  Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
