(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts close out the preseason on Thursday at home versus the Cincinnati Bengals.  All NFL teams must trim their rosters from 90 players to 53 players by Saturday afternoon.  The Colts are 1-and-2 this preseason following Saturday’s win at Pittsburgh.

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  As the preseason comes to a close this week, there is still no sign of Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.  He’s still on the physically-unable-to-perform list as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery.  Scott Tolzien is in line to start for Indianapolis in Week One.  The Colts visit the L.A. Rams on September 10th to start the season.

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Indiana Fever have two games left this season, and both are at home.  They’ll host the Minnesota Lynx tomorrow, before closing the season on Saturday versus the San Antonio Stars.  At 9-and-23, the Fever have been eliminated from playoff contention.  They’re riding a six-game losing streak.

>>Indians Split Doubleheader With Bats

(Louisville, KY)  —  The Indians split their doubleheader with the Bats in Louisville yesterday.  Tyler Eppler tossed seven innings of one-run ball to earn the complete-game win as Indy took the opener 7-1.  Alex Blandino homered in the winning effort.  Reliever Brandon Cumpton surrendered the walk-off home run in the bottom-of-the-eighth as the Indians dropped the night cap 4-3.  The teams are back at it tonight, 6:35 p.m. first pitch.

(Undated)  —  The college football season kicks into high gear this week nationwide.  On Thursday, Indiana plays host to second-ranked Ohio State in Bloomington.  On Saturday, Notre Dame welcomes Temple to South Bend and Purdue faces number-17 Louisville and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson at Lucas Oil Stadium.
