(Indianapolis, IN)  —  Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will miss Sunday’s season opener against the Rams in Los Angeles.  Colts general manager Chris Ballard said yesterday that Luck is still “week to week” as he continues to recover from offseason shoulder surgery.  Seven-year veteran Scott Tolzien will get the start for the Colts.  He’s appeared in nine career games, including three with Indy last year.

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts placed tight end Erik Swoope on injured reserve yesterday as he recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery.  He will be eligible to return after six weeks.  The Colts re-signed tight end Brandon Williams to fill the void.  They also added wide receiver Krishawn Hogan, nose tackle Joey Mbu and offensive tackle Andrew Wylie to the practice squad.

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts open up the regular season on Sunday against the Rams in Los Angeles.  Indy is looking to rebound from last year’s 8-and-8 record and third-place finish in the AFC South.

(Toledo, OH)  —  The Indians closed out the regular season with a 7-4 loss to the Mud Hens in Toledo.  The Indians begin the playoffs tomorrow with Game One of a best-of-five series at Durham.
