(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts open up the regular season on Sunday against the Rams in Los Angeles.  Indy is looking to rebound from last year’s 8-and-8 record and third-place finish in the AFC South.  Scott Tolzien will start in place of Andrew Luck under center.  Luck missed the entire preseason while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.  He is currently listed as week-to-week.

(Durham, NC)  —  The Indians open up the International League playoffs tonight against the Bulls in Durham.  Indy lost six of the 10 meetings between the clubs during the regular season.  Clay Holmes will take the ball for the Indians in Game One of the best-of-five set.  Durham counters with Ryan Yarbrough.  First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m.

(Undated)  —  The latest Coaches’ Poll has been announced and one local squad has cracked the top-25.  The Notre Dame Fighting Irish barely made the cut and are ranked 25th following an opening weekend victory over the Temple Owls.  Alabama held on to the top-seed followed by Ohio State, Clemson, Penn State and USC.
