(Los Angeles, CA)  —  Jared Goff threw for a career-high 306 yards and a touchdown as the Rams crushed the Colts, 46-9, in the season opener for both teams in LA.  Scott Tolzien passed for 128 yards in place of the injured Andrew Luck and threw a pair of pick-sixes.  Jacoby Brissett entered the game in the second half and was 2-of-3 for 51 yards.  Marlon Mack had a rushing touchdown in the loss.

>>Colts Host Cardinals Sunday

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts look to rebound on Sunday as they host the Arizona Cardinals in their home opener at Lucas Oil Stadium.  Andrew Luck’s status for this week is still in the air, and Jacoby Brissett could get an opportunity after Scott Tolzien struggled against the Rams.  Arizona is also 0-and-1 after losing to Detroit.

>>Indians’ Season Over

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Indianapolis Indians’ season is over following a 4-3 semifinals loss to the Durham Bulls on Saturday at Victory Field.  Indy lost the series, 3-1.  Durham advances to the Governors’ Cup Finals to face Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.  The Indians led Minor League baseball in attendance for the second year in a row.

(Undated)  —  In college football action over the weekend, Purdue ran past Ohio, 44-21.  Notre Dame fell to 13th-ranked Georgia, 20-19.  Indiana knocked off Virginia, 34-17.  On this upcoming Saturday, the Boilermakers visit Missouri, Notre Dame travels to Boston College, and Indiana plays host to Florida Atlantic.
