Jack W. Lewis, 73, of Thorntown, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana with family by his side. He was born on July 12, 1947 in New Castle, Pennsylvania; the son of the late John Lewis and Elsie Mae (Decker) Speer.

Jack graduated from Mohawk High School in Bessemer, Pennsylvania. Following high school he attended technical college, specializing in welding.

He was employed by Federal Mogul in Frankfort, Indiana for thirty-two years in the maintenance department.

Jack was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed skeet shooting, gardening, and working on various projects in his home and garage. He was an animal lover and enjoyed the companionship of his four-legged friend, Mel, the last 12 years.

Thomas Speer of Lebanon

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Siddall, Linda Allen and stepfather, George Speer.

Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home in Lebanon.

Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
