Janet Marie Hoover, 63, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on December 29, 1958, in Evansville, Indiana; a daughter of the late Lucille (Scott) Hawkins and Charles Hawkins, Sr.
She was a 1978 graduate of Lebanon High School. On December 26, 1976, she was married to Jerald J. Hoover; he survives.
Janet was a seamstress and worked many years at Aero Drapery and later for a window company in Lebanon. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and loved her family dearly.
Janet leaves behind her husband, Jerald Hoover of Lebanon; brothers, Charles “Charlie” Hawkins, Jr. of Lebanon, Steve Hawkins of Ocala, Florida, Les (Barb) Hawkins of Jamestown, David (Denise) Hawkins of Summerville, South Carolina; sister, Chris Martin of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews including a special niece: Sara Stucker and her children, Destiny Twitty, Serenity Hakes, Josiah Bowman and nephew, Kenny Hawkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Kenny Hawkins, Gilbert Hawkins, Robert Hawkins, and Kay Stogsdill.
No services will be held. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
