Julia Ann Chinn, 82, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on September 27, 1941, in Hartford City, Indiana; a daughter of the late Mary Belle (Harrold) and Orville Howard Copsey, Sr.

On November 24, 1962, she was united in marriage to David Lawrence Chinn at Fairview UB Church in Hartford City, Indiana. They have shared over 61 loving years together.

Julia was a 1959 graduate of Roll High School in Roll, Indiana. She then attended Parkview Methodist School of Nursing in Ft. Wayne and received her diploma in 1962. Julia was employed as an RN for Blackford County Hospital in Hartford City and several hospitals in Kansas near where her husband served as a United Methodist pastor. In addition, she worked as a CPR instructor for the American Red Cross.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved her family dearly. Julia had many interests including teaching Sunday school and scrapbooking. While living in Lebanon, she was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, David Chinn of Lebanon; daughter, Karen Diane (Richard Jr.) Roberts of Wasilla, Alaska; grandson, Mitchell David Roberts of Wasilla, Alaska; and nieces and nephews including, Kathy Macy of Lebanon.

In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Eric Chinn; brother, Orville Copsey Jr.; a brother in infancy, Waldo E. Copsey; sister, Rosemary Macy; and a nephew, Alan Macy.

Burial of Ashes will take place at Dwight Cemetery in Kansas.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
