Lebanon girls wrestling team brought home  the Indiana High School Girls Wrestling title on Friday night. The Tigers took home the IHSGW state title for the first time with 79 points, besting four-time defending state champion Penn (71.5) to win the title. Lebanon has been a program on the rise in the IHSGW scene, placing 19th in 2017, 15th in 2018, seventh in 2019 and third last year. Lebanon had two champions on the day. At 170, Sarah Huse won the title, pinning all her opponents. Huse also won the Katie Downing Mental Attitude Award. Lebanon’s second title came in the 182 weight class with Gracie Brandt. Lebanon also got a third-place finish from Jazlyn Gramlin at 152, sixth-place finishes from Bethany DeGraw (126), Emerson Wolfbrandt (138) and Grace Ann Merchant (182), and a seventh-place finish from Shelby Cope at(132).
