Vehicle rest inside Speedway on South Lebanon street.
On Wednesday, April 6 at 8:20 AM Lebanon Fire crews were dispatched to Speedway at 1335 S. Lebanon St. on report of a vehicle collision into a building. The initial arriving unit noted a vehicle through the front door of the structure and into the checkout counter. The driver of the vehicle was unable to exit under their own power. Crews stabilized the vehicle and extrication was completed without incident, and the patient was transported to the hospital under the care of Boone County EMS personnel. An additional patient was evaluated on site but refused treatment at that time.
Initial estimates are that repairs to the building will take at least 2-3 weeks, during which time both the convenience store and fuel islands are expected to be closed for business.
