Lebanon High School’s FFA chapter received honors at the 88th Indiana FFA convention June 19 to 22 at Purdue University. State FFA President Jessica Mars, a 2016 LHS graduate, officiated over the awards session.
Stacey Hartley, LHS agriculture teacher and FFA advisor, received the Honorary Hoosier FFA Degree, for commitment and service to the Indiana FFA Association.
Students Kobe Burtron, Maci French and Nikki Wynne received the Hoosier FFA Degree, the highest honor FFA bestows.
Liz Mar s and Niyeli Sant’Anna placed fourth in the food science demonstration event.
Mars, Sant’Anna, Katie Hasty and Veronica Kassab placed fourth in the floriculture team event.
Kailyn Rittenberry was elected president, and Tribby vice president, of the 20172018 FFA State Chorus. Rittenberry will also serve on the state FFA executive board.
