An early Wednesday morning fire at 1326 Helena Dr., Lebanon, quickly turned into an arson investigation, according to investigators. The fire started in an upper bedroom, where firefighters were met with heavy fire conditions, according to a Lebanon Fire Department release.
Police believe the fire was started to cover up a burglary. Fire crews found blood throughout the home, and that led them to call for crime scene investigators once they gained control of the fire. Authorities detained suspects Gage Veach, 22, and Ashley Bowman, 20, both of Lebanon, for their alleged involvement in the crimes.
