Lebanon 18-year-old Kayla Daubenspeck has graced many a stage during her performance career, but an appearance in Carmel on July 22, will be the highlight of her career so far.
Daubenspeck, a 2017 Lebanon High School graduate, was chosen from a pool of promising young vocalists around the country to compete in a unique academy and singing competition from the American Songbook Foundation.
Daubenspeck and 39 others were chosen to compete and learn during the 2017 academy. The second time was a charm for Daubenspeck, as she applied to join the academy last year, but did not make the cut. With her acceptance in hand, Daubenspeck said she is excited and honored to join the academy.
