One Whitestown restaurant will soon be undergoing renovations, thanks to a Boone County 180 Makeover grant. L.A. Café was recently awarded $136,000. With this money, the restaurant intends to update its restrooms and expand its cold storage space, among other changes. Café owner Jessica Averitt says, “Receiving this grant to renovate L.A. Café is not just a boost to our business, but an investment in Whitestown.” Renovations are expected to start later this year, and be finished by the end of 2024 or early 2025.
