Lori King Nelson, 59, of Jamestown, died Wednesday, Mar. 30, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Lori was born Aug. 22, 1962, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Ronald King and Mary (Beth) Easley. She married Robert Nelson on November 29th 1984. He survives.

Lori graduated from Carmel High School. She worked as a Physical Therapist at various locations, including Witham Hospital, Western Boone schools, and nursing homes in Crawfordsville. Lori truly loved her job, especially working for First Steps, where her work with babies brought her so much joy. She also enjoyed gardening, watching movies and listening and playing to music.

Survivors include her loving husband of 37 years, Robert Nelson of Jamestown; daughter, Christina Glendenning of Fishers; grandson, Tucker Frye; and Mother Mary B. Easley (Thomas Easley), siblings, Todd King, Debra Gastineau, Angie Snipes, and Jill McFarland.

Lori was preceded in death by her children, Samantha Diane Nelson on May 4, 2020 and Clayton Patrick Nelson on Apr. 12, 2014.

Family and friends will gather Monday, April 11th for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lori’s memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
