Lucille Anna Pahl, 100, of Lebanon, Ind., went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Jun. 28, 2022, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. Lucille was born Jan. 26, 1922, in Petersburg, Mich., the daughter of the late Perl and Ina McDonnell.

She married Thomas Pahl on May 4, 1946. The Pahls were married 58 years before his death in 2004. They owned and were publishers of the Farmers & Merchants Courier and the Bedford Courier Newspapers for 23 years in Petersburg, Mich., moving to Naples, Fla. for 30 years, and in 1999, moving to Lebanon, Ind. Lucille enjoyed needlework, quilting, and crafts.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine R. Watts in 2011.

Surviving is her brother-in-law, Rev. Billy Watts of Roachdale, Ind.; nephew, Billy Watts, Jr. of Simpsonville, Ky.; and nieces, Carolyn Wireman of Roachdale, Ind. and Elizabeth Wilhelm of Frankfort, Ind.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, Sep. 4, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery in Petersburg, Mich. Final care of Lucille has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Ind.
