Mrs. Marjorie Kathleen Wolfe, 97, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Brownsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 7, 1922 in Benton County, Indiana; a daughter of the late William Thomas and Allida May (Hopwood) Daily.

On June 19, 1939, she married Ernest Edwin Wolfe in New Albany, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1987.

Marjorie received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Marion College and began her nursing career at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana, later working at Tipton Memorial Hospital, and then at Clinton County Hospital from where she retired in 1986.

She was a charter member of the Wesleyan Church in Colfax, Indiana, where she served as President of the Women’s Missionary Society and Sunday school teacher for many years. She also spearheaded and organized blood drives in Colfax.

Marjorie enjoyed reading her Bible every day, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing scrabble. She was an avid gardener, known for growing abundant and beautiful flowers, her favorite being irises. She was compassionate, always there to lend a helping hand. And she was a faithful servant of God for 75 years. Marjorie loved nothing better than being with her family and her church family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by a son, David Joseph Wolfe; siblings Raymond H. Daily, Kermit L. Daily, Gertrude E. Westwood, Mabel Barrett and Jewel T. Daily.

Funeral Services are pending. Interment will follow services at Plainview Cemetery in Colfax, Indiana.
