Mr. Michael Lee “Mike” Dickerson,75, passed away at his home in Jamestown, Indiana with family by his side on Sunday, March 27, 2022. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana on November 24, 1946, a son of the late Howard Francis and Lois Kathleen Dickerson.

Michael is a 1965 graduate of Lebanon High School. Following high school, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, where he was wounded in combat.

On June 18, 1977, he was married to Julie (Bales) Dickerson, at Browns Wonder Church in Lebanon; she survives

Mike was a member of the American Legion, UAW and Alpha Company 2/60th, where he enjoyed reunions with fellow soldiers and family. He was employed with General Motors White River Stamping Plant for thirty-eight years as a press system technician.

He was a devoted family man and a good friend to many. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn, bird watching, remodeling, tinkering in his garage and adored his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife: Julie Dickerson of Jamestown; sons, Matthew K. Dickerson of Jamestown, Nathan J. (Katie) Dickerson of Martinsville; five grandchildren, Rachael S. Dickerson, Ethan C. Dickerson, Elliott M. Dickerson, Everleigh M. Dickerson, Ellianne L. Dickerson; brother, Terry R. (Sharon) Dickerson of Lebanon; many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by three brothers Rex Dickerson, Stanley Dickerson, and Dana Dickerson.

Visitation with military honors will be held at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. noon on Friday, April 1, 2022. Graveside services will be held following visitation at 12:15 p.m. on Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
