Mikinzie Ann Dodson, 20, passed at her home in Lebanon, Indiana on Friday, January 22, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 24, 2000 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of Jeff Highland and Melissa Dodson.
She graduated from Lebanon High School in 2019 and was a dietary aide at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, and sister. She enjoyed music and spending time with family. Mikinzie was a caring soul with a huge heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Survivors include :father, Jeff Highland of Lebanon; mother, Melissa Dodson of Lebanon; brothers, Michael Wright, Jaiden Wright; sister, Addison Wright; grandparents, Becky Dodson of Indianapolis, Mike Jajuga of Indianapolis, Mike (Sara Vanostrand) Dodson of San Diego, California, Brenda Wright of Thorntown; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mikinzie was preceded in death by one sister, Haley Wright and grandfather, Art Wright.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home in Lebanon. She will be laid to rest following services at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Myers Mortuary to assist the family.
