Murlena Beswick Brown, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on January 1, 2023. She was born on June 9,1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was living with her daughters in Florida at the time of her passing.
She was married to Ronald Arthur Brown for 35 years; he preceded her in death.
Murlena was a 1963 graduate of Lebanon High School. She worked as a loan processor for over 30 years with PNC Bank (formerly Merchants Bank). After she retired, Murlena worked part-time as a crossing guard.
Murlena loved her children and grandchildren. Her faith was very important to her, and she was a devout Christian. She enjoyed animals and had dogs, a rabbit, and a turtle.
Survivors include her children who were born in Lebanon, Stephanie Hampton of Florida, Rhonda Hampton of Florida, and John Hampton of North Carolina; grandchildren, John P. Hampton, and Kassie Jo Hampton both of Illinois.
Memorial services are planned for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
