Nancy Jayne Doolan, born October 11, 1947, to Mary Alice and Eugene Jamison passed away at IU West hospital after a fatal heart attack December 7, 2019. She was 72. Married for 40 years to the love of her life and best friend, Patrick Doolan, know to most as “Doc” they lived together on their family farm in Jamestown.

Jayne was a prayer warrior and forever strong in her faith to God. She has been an amazing example of a Christian to all who knew her. In such a broken world, Jayne was a beacon of light and love we could always look up to and aspire to be.

Most everyone who met her simply called her “Nanny.” Her huge heart and infectious spirit made her an adopted mother and grandma to most everyone she met.

Jayne loved to cook and share her love for food with those all around her. Nothing was more important, however; than her family. Her heart and home overflowed with love for her children and grandchildren. She took great joy in attending all her grandchildren’s activities.

The Lord blessed Jayne and Patrick with 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Besides her husband Patrick, Jayne is survived by Joseph Doolan, Sabrina Kent-Doolan, Jussi Kent-Doolan, Zander Kent-Doolan, Maisa Kent-Doolan, A.J. Burgess, Rhonda Essex (Danny), Zach Essex (Brittany), Vanessa Snow (Sammy), Melissa Moore, Luke McIntyre (Jennafer), Katie Chester (Shane), and Danielle Essex. She is also survived by her sister Jeanie Griffith.

Jayne was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Mary Alice Jamison, daughter Patricia Ward, grandson Jordan Essex.
