(Los Angeles, CA)  —  The Lakers could be finding themselves in some trouble for tampering with Paul George.  According to ESPN, the NBA is looking into whether new president of basketball operations Magic Johnson courted the Los Angeles native too early.  The Thunder acquired George from the Pacers this offseason.  He will be an unrestricted free agent after the upcoming season.

(Buffalo, NY)  —  Wide receiver Anquan Boldin isn’t sticking around as the Bills are deciding to change directions.  Boldin retired from the NFL after signing a one-year contract less than two weeks ago.  Buffalo has since traded top wide receiver Sammy Watkins and cornerback Ronald Darby.  The 36-year-old spent his 14-year career with the Cardinals, Ravens, 49ers and Lions.

(Boston, MA)  —  The Red Sox extended their lead in the American League East with a 5-1 win over the Yankees in the rubber match of a three-game series at Fenway Park.  Boston is five games up on New York.  Rick Porcello earned the win with six strong innings and Jackie Bradley Junior supplied the offense.  He had two hits and drove in three.

(Flushing, NY)  —  Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is continuing his chase for 60 home runs.  Stanton hit his league-leading 45th blast in Miami’s 6-4 win over the Mets.  It was a three-run shot in the seventh inning off New York ace Jacob deGrom.

>>Stenson Wins Wyndham Championship

(Greensboro, NC)  —  Henrik Stenson fired a six-under 64 in Sunday’s final round to win the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro.  Stenson finished a course-record 22-under-par for the tournament.  Ollie Schniederjans came in second at 21-under, while Webb Simpson finished third at minus-18.
