(Undated)  —  Two Eastern Conference powers are making a big trade.  The Cavaliers and Celtics have agreed to a deal that sends guard Kyrie Irving to Boston.  Cleveland gets Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic [[ ZIH-zitch ]] and a Nets’ 2018 first-round draft pick that Boston controls.  Irving averaged 25.2 points and 5.8 assists last season.

>>White Denies Jones Stripped Of Title After Failed Drug Test

(Undated)  —  Jon “Bones” Jones is apparently still the UFC light heavyweight champion despite a failed drug test.  TMZ reports Jones was stripped of his title after testing positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol, but UFC president Dana White denied to ESPN that his title was taken away.  White says Jones failed a drug test before his victory over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 last month.

(Detroit, MI)  —  Gary Sanchez launched a pair of two-run homers to power the Yankees to a 13-4 win over the Tigers.  Aaron Hicks added a two-run shot of his own for New York, which won for the sixth time in eight games.  The Yanks are four-and-a-half games behind first-place Boston in the AL East.

(East Rutherford, NJ)  —  The availability of Odell Beckham Jr. for the Giants’ season opener is in doubt.  ESPN reports an ankle injury could keep the star wide receiver sidelined September 10th against Dallas.  Beckham Jr. was hurt in Monday night’s preseason loss to the Browns.

(Boston, MA)  —  President Trump is the owner of a Super Bowl ring.  Patriots owner Robert Kraft says he gave Trump a ring so he would have something special to display in his presidential library.  The ring commemorates New England’s 34-28 overtime win over the Falcons in Super Bowl 51.
