(Los Angeles, CA)  —  The Eagles might have to go through the rest of the season without their MVP candidate.  According to multiple outlets, Philadelphia is worried Carson Wentz suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during their win over the Rams on Sunday.  Wentz threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns before exiting.  He was replaced by Nick Foles.

(Undated)  —  The Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers are heading to the playoffs.  Philadelphia clinched the NFC East by defeating the Rams 43-35 in Los Angeles.  The Eagles are 11-and-2.  Pittsburgh locked up the AFC North when they rallied to beat the Ravens, 39-38, on “Sunday Night Football.”  Pittsburgh is a half-game ahead of New England in the AFC, but the Pats play the Dolphins on “Monday Night Football.”

>>Two New Members Of Baseball Hall Of Fame

(Lake Buena Vista, FL)  —  The baseball Hall of Fame will have two new members.  The Modern Era committee has selected starter Jack Morris and shortstop Alan Trammell to head to Cooperstown.  They will be enshrined on July 29th.  Morris won 254 games, but his personal highlight came in the postseason when he clinched Game Seven of the 1991 World Series for the Twins.  Trammell was the MVP of the 1984 World Series for Detroit.

(Undated)  —  The Yankees’ newest slugger will be introduced today.  New York has a press conference scheduled to officially bring on outfielder Giancarlo Stanton scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Eastern.  The Yankees acquire the National League MVP from the Marlins for Starlin Castro and two lower-level minor leaguers.

(New York, NY)  —  Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is the winner of the 2017 Heisman Memorial Trophy.  Mayfield beat out Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson and Stanford running back Bryce Love.  Mayfield earned the award after finishing third in voting last season, when Jackson won it for the Cardinals.  The senior threw for over 43-hundred yards and 41 touchdowns for 12-and-1 Oklahoma,
