(Undated)  —  The NFL and a group of players have come to an agreement on a plan to work on social injustices in African-American communities.  ESPN reports the NFL will give around 100-million-dollars over seven years for social justice causes.  It will include money for criminal justice reform, law enforcement-community relations and education.  The deal was struck during a conference call last night.

(Arlington, TX)  —  The NFC East is featured on “Thursday Night Football.”  The Cowboys and Redskins meet at AT&T Stadium with both teams trying to end a free fall.  Dallas has dropped three in-a-row to put them at 5-and-6.  Washington had lost four-of-five before beating the Giants last week.  The Skins are also 5-and-6.

>>Reports:  ASU To Hire Herm Edwards

(Tempe, AZ)  —  Arizona State University has found its new football coach.  Multiple reports say ASU plans to hire Herm Edwards, pending approval from university president Michael Crow.  The 63-year-old Edwards is a former NFL head coach with the Chiefs and Jets.  In eight seasons, he was 54-and-74 with a 2-and-4 playoff record.  Edwards has not coached at all since being fired by Kansas City after the 2008 season.

(Undated)  —  The ACC got the best of the Big Ten in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge last night.  The ACC won five-of-six games, including the three headliners.  North Carolina handled Michigan 86-71, Duke took down Indiana 91-81 and Miami defeated Minnesota, 86-81.  The event concludes tonight with Michigan State hosting Notre Dame in a top-five matchup.

>>Warriors Push Past Lakers In OT

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  Steph Curry came to life during overtime and helped the Warriors beat the Lakers 127-123 at the STAPLES Center.  Curry scored 13 of his 28 points during the extra five minutes.  Kevin Durant chipped in 29, while Draymond Green added 15 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and four steals.  Golden State is 5-and-2 in its last seven games to improve to 16-and-6.
