(Houston, TX)  —  The Fall Classic begins tomorrow night at Chavez Ravine.  The Dodgers are back in the World Series for the first time since 1988 and they host Game One against the Astros.  Houston advanced with a 4-0 win over the Yankees in Game Seven of the ALCS on Saturday.  Los Angeles took care of the Cubs in five games to move on.

>>Pats Win Super Bowl Rematch

(Foxboro, NE)  —  The Patriots bested the Falcons 23-7 in a Super Bowl 51 rematch on “Sunday Night Football” at Gillette Stadium.  New England took a 23-0 lead behind two touchdown passes from Tom Brady.  The Pats have improved to 5-and-2.  Atlanta has lost three straight and sits at 3-and-3.

>>Notre Dame Jumps Into Top 10

(Undated)  — Notre Dame jumped up to number-10 in the “USA Today” Coaches Poll.  The Fighting Irish dismantled rival USC, 49-14, in South Bend on Saturday night.  Michigan fell all the way to 25th after they were crushed by number-two Penn State, 42-13, at Happy Valley.  Alabama stayed at number-one.  Georgia, TCU and Wisconsin round out the top five.

>>Suns Fire Earl Watson

(Phoenix, AZ)  —  It didn’t take long for their to be a coaching change in the NBA.  The Suns fired head coach Earl Watson after their 0-and-3 start.  Phoenix lost two games by over 40 points and at home to the Lakers.  Watson will be replaced by interim head coach Jay Triano.

>>Truex Wins At Kansas Speedway

(Kansas City, KS)  —  Martin Truex Junior is the champion at the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.  Truex survived a restart penalty to pick up his seventh Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win of the season.  The seven-time champion moved into the Round-of-Eight.  Kurt Busch finished second and Ryan Blaney third.  The Round-of-Eight begins Sunday at Martinsville.
