(Undated)  —  Fired up by tweets from President Trump, NFL players are taking their silent protests during the national anthem across the U.S. and in England.  Teams around the league demonstrated after President Trump called for fans to boycott NFL games and for professional athletes to be suspended or fired for not standing for the national anthem.

>>Brady’s Five TD’s Lift Patriots Past Texans

(Foxboro, MA)  —  Tom Brady’s touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks with 23 seconds left gave the Patriots a 36-33 win over the Texans at New England.  Brady passed for five scores to help the Pats improve to 2-and-1.  DeShaun Watson threw for 301 yards, two TD’s and two interceptions for Houston, which dropped to 1-and-2.

>>Eagles Stun Giants In Nail-Biter

(Philadelphia, PA)  —  Jake Elliott drilled a 61-yard field goal as time expired to give the Eagles a wild 27-24 win over the Giants.  Philadelphia improved to 2-and-1 despite allowing 24 points in the fourth quarter.  Odell Beckham Jr. had two touchdown grabs for New York, which fell to 0-and-3.

>>D’backs Clinch Top NL Wild Card Spot

(Phoenix, AZ)  —  The Diamondbacks will host the National League wild card game.  Arizona locked up the top NL spot with a 3-2, walk-off win over the Marlins.  The Diamondbacks have won 90 games after winning only 69 a season ago.  Meanwhile, Colorado has a two-game lead on Milwaukee for the second wild card spot.

>>Kyle Busch Wins At New Hampshire

(Loudon, NH)  —  Kyle Busch took the checkered flag at the ISM Connect 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  Busch edged Kyle Larson to lock up a spot in the Round of 12 in the NASCAR playoffs.  Matt Kenseth, Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. rounded out the top-five.
