(Cincinnati, OH)  —  Chris Boswell hit the winning field goal as time expired as the Steelers rallied past the Bengals 23-20 on “Monday Night Football” in Cincinnati.  Ben Roethlisberger threw for 290 yards and two scores as Pittsburgh overcame a 17-0 deficit to improve to 10-and-2.  Andy Dalton threw two TD’s to A.J. Green as Cincy slipped to 6-and-7.

(East Rutherford, NJ)  —  The Giants are shaking things up.  Head coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese were both dismissed on Monday.  The Giants are just 2-and-10 on the year.  Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo [[ spag-NO-lo ]] will serve as interim coach, while assistant general manager Kevin Abrams will be interim GM.

>>NFL Suspends Patriots’ Gronkowski One Game

(Foxboro, MA)  —  The NFL is suspending New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski one game for a flagrant late hit on Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White.  “Gronk” pile-drove his shoulder into the back of White’s head while laying face down on the turf following an interception.  Gronkowski apologized for the hit after the game, but still plans to appeal.

>>Football Coaches Edwards, Fisher Introduced By New Schools

(Undated)  —  Herm Edwards and Jimbo Fisher are formally in place in their new head coaching gigs.  Edwards was introduced yesterday as the new head football coach at Arizona State.  He replaces the fired Todd Graham.  Texas A&M also introduced Jimbo Fisher.  He left Florida State on Friday to ink a 10-year, 75-million-dollar deal with the Aggies.

>>Heisman Trophy Finalists Revealed

(New York, NY)  —  The 2017 Heisman Trophy finalists are out.  They are Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, Stanford running back Bryce Love and Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson.  Jackson won it last year and has a chance to repeat, although Mayfield is considered the heavy favorite.  The winner will be announced Saturday night in New York.

>>Yankees Name Boone New Manager

(Bronx, NY)  —  Aaron Boone is the new manager of the New York Yankees.  He’s signed a three-year contract with an option to become the 33rd skipper in franchise history.  Boone replaces Joe Girardi and will be formally introduced tomorrow.  It’s the first managerial gig for Boone, whose Game Seven home run won the 2003 AL pennant for the Yankees.
